Steps to apply a lace wig:
- Prepare your natural hair: Braid your natural hair or flatten it with a wig cap so that it lays flat against your head. This step is important to create a smooth surface for the wig to sit on.
- Clean your skin: Before applying the lace wig, make sure your skin is clean and free of any oils, sweat or dirt. You can use rubbing alcohol or a scalp protector to clean and prep your skin.
- Trim the lace: Use a razor or scissors to trim the excess lace around the perimeter of the wig. Leave about 1/4 inch of lace for a natural look.
- Apply wig glue: Apply a thin layer of Beauty By Alexandra's lace glue along your hairline, starting from the center and working your way outwards. Use a brush or your finger to spread the glue evenly.
- Position the wig: Starting from the front, gently press the wig onto the glued area of your hairline. Use a comb or your fingers to press the wig down and secure it in place. Adjust the wig until it is centered on your head.
- Style the wig: Once the wig is secured, you can style it as desired using hair styling tools. You can also use Beauty By Alexandra's hair heat protector to protect the wig from heat damage.
Remember to use the two adjustable straps and three combs on the sides and back of the wig to secure it in place. And if you want to remove the wig, use Beauty By Alexandra's wig glue remover to gently and safely remove the wig from your scalp.
